Pete has been a god-send. I wont go into too much detail, but he's squared my life right away. My alcohol use has stopped, I'm getting myself back to being fit, and I'm repairing relationships with my family.
I didn't know where to start with getting back into the gym. The program I got from LTS was really professional, easy to get my head round, and I felt more confident in the gym as I knew what I was doing.
After injuring myself playing rugby, I wanted to get back playing. I've always been a big bloke, but the time I was out injured meant I really had piled the pounds on. Pete got me running again (which I hate!) and back stronger than I had been before my injury. I'm back playing in the first 15 again and can't wait to get working on a pre-season program with Pete in the summer.
I'd always been intimidated by the guys in the free weights section of my gym, so i stuck to the machines and the cross-trainer. Pete spent a couple of sessions teaching me how to squat, bench and deadlift. He also showed me how to use kettlebells and dumbbells. I went back into my gym, and I may have been the only girl in the weights area, but I felt really good (I was even deadlifting more than some of the guys!).
